Car insurance can cost a lot of money and so when it comes to changing it, you may want to shop around to find the best price. When I am renewing my car insurance I always obtain quotes from various comparison sites to get the best price possible. I often go with the cheapest quote but always make sure you read through the terms and conditions to avoid getting stung.
After renewing my car insurance in February I decided to buy a new car in April. I purchased a car that was actually less powerful and slightly older than my other car and was shocked when I called the insurance company to swap it over. They quoted me an additional £425 was needed to make the change. I was shocked as this was double my previous premium and when I asked to cancel was told I was going to be charged and additional £50. This is why it is vital to read the small print as many companies do charge a cancellation fee but some are lower than others.
